Central City Value is 9-1 against Orthopaedic since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Loss or not, Central City Value got some senior leadership from Leonel Chavez and Angel Marcial. Chavez scored six points along with 12 rebounds and five blocks, while Marcial. scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Marcial is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andy Lobos, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Orthopaedic had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Aspire Ollin with a 59-53 win on Wednesday. The win was just what Orthopaedic needed coming off of a 61-37 defeat in their prior match.
Central City Value has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Orthopaedic, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.
