In what's become a running theme this season, the Lewis Angapak Blue Jays gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 60-39 margin over Chief Paul Memorial. The victory was nothing new for Lewis Angapak as they're now sitting on three straight.
Lewis Angapak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Anthony Castel led the charge by scoring 24 points. Castel continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jordan Carl, who scored 17 points.
Lewis Angapak's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for Chief Paul Memorial, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-2.
Lewis Angapak and Chevak will face off at 1:30 p.m. on February 3rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Lewis Angapak knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Chevak likes a good challenge. Chief Paul Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
