Linn is 8-2 against Belle since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Linn Wildcats will be playing at home against the Belle Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Linn's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell 63-51 to Cuba.
Despite the defeat, Linn had strong showings from Gus Peters, who scored 15 points along with four steals, and Noah Hall, who scored 21 points along with five assists. Hall scored a full 41.2% of Linn's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Hatfield, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, Belle pushed their score all the way to 62 last Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of New Bloomfield by a score of 64-62.
Linn's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for Belle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Linn came up short against Belle in their previous meeting back in November, falling 52-43. Can Linn avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
