When it comes to explaining why Green Sea Floyds lost, one person who can't be blamed is Dee Dee Boyd. Despite the final result, she scored three points along with ten rebounds.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Green Sea Floyds struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Janiya Richburg was on fire for Loris: she dropped a triple-double on 17 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 steals. Richburg is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Dazena Capers was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.
Green Sea Floyds bumped their record down to 2-4 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.9 points per game. As for Loris, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Green Sea Floyds will take on Governor's School for Science & Math at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loris, they will head out on the road to face off against Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
