On Friday, Crane Medical strolled past Englewood Stem with points to spare, taking the game 68-49. Given Crane Medical's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 207th, while Englewood Stem is ranked 438th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Crane Medical can attribute much of their success to William Hill, who scored 20 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Treveon Hoskins, who scored 18 points.
Crane Medical's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Englewood Stem, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
Crane Medical will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against Chicago Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on January 10th. As for Englewood Stem, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Phillips at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Phillips is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 66.3 points per game.
