If the Glenn Falcons were feeling good off their 37-12 takedown of the South Bend Riley Wildcats last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Glenn took a 35-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plymouth on Tuesday. Glenn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Plymouth apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Glenn had strong showings from Sophia Romer, who scored seven points, and Rylee Johnson, who scored seven points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Johnson has scored all season.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Glenn struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plymouth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tynley Gantz, who scored nine points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Sophie Miller, who scored 11 points.
Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Plymouth, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Glenn will head out on the road to face off against South Bend Washington at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. South Bend Washington will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Plymouth will be home for the holidays to greet NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. NorthWood will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
