Volleyball Game Preview: Fideles Christian Rangers vs. St. John Bosco Academy

Fideles Christian is a perfect 8-0 against St. John Bosco Academy since August of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rangers will square off against St. John Bosco Academy at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fideles Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Lanier Christian Academy with a sharp 3-0 win. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Lightning recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, St. John Bosco Academy hadn't done well against Pinecrest Academy recently (they were 0-7 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. St. John Bosco Academy walked away with a 3-1 win over Pinecrest Academy.

Fideles Christian better focus on containing Sutton Wearne and Elizabeth Cryan as the pair were huge in St. John Bosco Academy's win. Wearne had 36 digs and two aces, while Cryan had 19 digs and five aces. Those 36 digs gave Wearne a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Abbie Shang, who had ten digs and two aces.

St. John Bosco Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in three consecutive matches.

Fideles Christian's record is now 17-3. As for St. John Bosco Academy, their record now sits at 12-5.
