Lyons-Decatur Northeast has been on the road for four straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Wisner-Pilger Gators at TBD on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Nebraska (Lyons-Decatur Northeast is ranked 237th, while the Gators are ranked 260th).
Last Tuesday, Lyons-Decatur Northeast beat the Mustangs 50-39. The victory was just what Lyons-Decatur Northeast needed coming off of a 67-34 loss in their prior contest.
Braden Hardin had an outrageously good game as he scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Hegge, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Wisner-Pilger's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 60-43 fall against Clarkson/Leigh.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Wisner-Pilger, they dropped their record down to 1-17 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast was taken down by the Gators 57-19 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lyons-Decatur Northeast was down 41-5.
