If The Beaumont Cougars were riding high off their 59-0 takedown of the Redlands Terriers last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Beaumont fell to Cajon 34-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Beaumont in their matchups with Cajon: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Cougars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Myion Walker, who rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Walker's longest rush was for an incredible 82 yards. DJ Littles also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cajon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jamel Sly, who rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Evan Powell was another key contributor, throwing for 257 yards and a touchdown while completing 78.6% of his passes.
Beaumont's defeat dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Cajon, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Beaumont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cajon also has no future games currently scheduled.
