It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fremd had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Palatine Pirates. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

While Fremd won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15.

Fremd's record is now 30-7. As for Palatine, they moved to 29-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

As of now, neither Fremd nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
