The Estero Wildcats entered their tilt with the Immokalee Indians with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. In a tight match that could have gone either way, Estero made off with a 63-62 win over the Indians. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Brady Knutson, who scored 34 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more points the last eight times he's played. Drew Arrington was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Estero is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Immokalee, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Estero will face off against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Cypress Lake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Tuesday. As for Immokalee, they will head out on the road to face off against the Lightning at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lehigh presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Indians in Florida (the Lightning are ranked 186th, while the Indians are ranked 426th).
