Pacifica got themselves on the board against Oxnard on Friday, but Oxnard never followed suit. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 62-0 victory over the Yellowjackets. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tritons' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 422nd).

Taylor Lee had a dynamite game, throwing for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also rushing for 45 yards and a pair of scores. Alijah Royster was in the mix as well, providing Pacifica with two TDs.

Pacifica didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Juju Hernandez and Darius Smith. Smith got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pacifica has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 60.5 points this season. As for Oxnard, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pacifica will welcome Newbury Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oxnard, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bellflower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
