The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pahokee, who defeated 98th ranked American Heritage, 13-10.
Cardinal Newman's Erick Hardnett rumbled for the longest rushing play in 3A District 7 this season in his game against King's Academy last week. Hardnett ran for 85 yards on the play and finished with 150 on the day as his team topped the Lions.
Cardinal Newman's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Daniel Cole threw for 204 and 3 touchdowns and Travis Rudolph had 204 yards receiving. On the ground Hardnett contributed 150 yards.
He went 6-8 with 0 interceptions.
Rudolph was the best wideout in the league this week as Steve Walsh's team bested King's Academy. Rudolph racked up 6 receptions for 204 yards.
Cardinal Newman's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Crusaders feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Cole has thrown for 921 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Rudolph has 32 catches for 639 yards.
The Blue Devils moved up to 151 from 213 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Pahokee climbed the ranks as a result of beating the Stallions 13-10.
