Shumaker has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Shumaker  scored two  runs and  stole four bases while  getting on base  in four of his six plate appearances, while  Kang  scored three  runs and  stole seven bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news, Timberlake Christian got a  massive  performance out of  Josiah Smyth, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.  Adrian Warrick was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-5.
 Timberlake Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Faith Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with that  defeat, which was their fifth straight  at home.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Timberlake Christian will  face off against Grace Christian at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Faith Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  take on  Christian Heritage Academy at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Christian Heritage Academy will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
