Sam Minix put forth a good effort for the losing side as he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 42.4% of Fuqua's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Fuqua struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. They are winless (0-4) when they can't control their own glass like that.
Tidewater Academy can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 55-36 victory over Amelia Academy. The win was just what Tidewater Academy needed coming off of a 61-32 loss in their prior matchup.
Fuqua has not been sharp recently as the team has lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Tidewater Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-15.
Fuqua was able to grind out a solid win over Tidewater Academy in their previous matchup back in January, winning 51-39. Will Fuqua repeat their success, or does Tidewater Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
