Parkland has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the East Forsyth Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, Parkland beat the Demons 68-61.
Riley Horton was nothing short of spectacular: he scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that he scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brock Jackson, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, East Forsyth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 83-79 to the Cowboys. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (65), East Forsyth still had to take the loss.
Parkland now has a winning record of 10-9. As for East Forsyth, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Parkland couldn't quite finish off the Eagles in their previous matchup back in January and fell 53-50. Can Parkland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
