Carmel hasn't had much luck against Noblesville recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Greyhounds will be playing in front of their home fans against the Millers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, Carmel was able to grind out a solid win over Lawrence North, taking the game 5-1.
Emily Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

At the plate, Jayden Kleiner was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Winni Owens, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Noblesville strolled into their game on Tuesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Fishers a 15-0 shutout.
Addison Retzinger made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Retzinger was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Noblesville got a massive performance out of Nevaeh Nash, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Izzy Zapp was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.
Noblesville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Fishers only posted an OBP of .167.
Carmel's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Noblesville, they pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
