Enterprise is 2-8 against Shasta since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Enterprise Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Shasta Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Enterprise is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Enterprise took a serious blow against Chico, falling 35-7. Enterprise has struggled against Chico recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Shasta narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Red Bluff 17-14. The win was just what Shasta needed coming off of a 49-21 loss in their prior match.
Shasta's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Boesiger, who picked up 136 receiving yards and a touchdown. Boesiger's longest reception was for an incredible 73 yards. Another player making a difference was Justin Polley, who rushed for 67 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Chico's win bumped their season record to 9-1 while Enterprise's defeat dropped theirs to 4-6.
Enterprise came up short against Shasta when the teams last played back in October, falling 27-20. Can Enterprise avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
