After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last three contests, the Greene County Wildcats finally came back down to earth on Thursday. They had to suffer through a rough 48-18 loss at the hands of Bay. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Greene County in their matchups with Bay: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the defeat, Greene County saw an underclassman step up: Rakhiya Moody scored nine points along with two blocks.
Greene County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-15. As for Bay, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-5.
Greene County won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Moss Point at 4:00 p.m. on February 9th. Moss Point's defense has only allowed 28.6 points per game this season, so Greene County's offense will have their work cut out for them. Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
