The Lutheran South Academy Pioneers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Emery/Weiner 75-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Kai Conerly was his usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kole Alexander, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Lutheran South Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-8. As for Emery/Weiner, their loss dropped their record down to 7-1.
Lutheran South Academy will head out on the road to face off against Second Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Second Baptist knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past ten games -- so hopefully Lutheran South Academy likes a good challenge. As for Emery/Weiner, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Kelly Catholic at 7:30 p.m. Kelly Catholic is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
