West Middlesex has gone  a perfect 5-0 against Cochranton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Monday. The Big Reds will challenge the Cardinals at 2:30  p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
West Middlesex is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Rocky Grove  3-2. The Big Reds haven't had any issues with the Orioles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  victory against them.
 West Middlesex's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Roman Golub, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run. Another  was  Aiden Puskar, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Cochranton ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past Youngsville  14-13. The  win was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won three  contests in a row.
 Bradyen Burnette was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  triple. He is becoming a predictor of Cochranton's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 5-2 (and 3-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  Tim Deeter, who  went 3-for-4 with five  RBI and one  double.
 Cochranton  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 20  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Cochranton's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for West Middlesex, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.
Monday's   matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. West Middlesex has hit smart this season,  having  averaged  an OBP of .437. However, it's not like Cochranton struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .436. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
 West Middlesex took their  victory against Cochranton  in their previous matchup  back in March by a conclusive  15-0 score. Do  the Big Reds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
