Make it eight blowout wins for the Fulshear Chargers this season. They blew past Fort Bend Willowridge, posting a 57-28 victory on the road. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Fulshear as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
It was another big night for Ruke Ogbevire, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Semmler, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Fort Bend Willowridge lost on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Au'Rayona Seals, who scored 11 points.
Fulshear pushed their record up to 17-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Fort Bend Willowridge, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 19-7.
Fulshear will take on Fort Bend Kempner at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Kempner will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 901st, while Fulshear is ranked 113th). As for Fort Bend Willowridge, they will head out on the road to take on Lamar Consolidated at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Lamar Consolidated focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 49 on Friday.
