Grenada's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Carlei Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, and Lauren Harges who scored 26 points. Brown is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of August Hardiman, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lake Cormorant waltzed into their game two weeks ago with two straight wins but they left with three. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 win over Grenada. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Lake Cormorant has posted yet this season.
Grenada has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Lake Cormorant, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.
