Covenant Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Centerville Bulldogs a 19-0 shutout. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Krista Marks made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Marks was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.
