Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bingham). They were the clear victor by a 61-41 margin over the Corner Canyon Chargers on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Miners.
Bingham's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evalyn Roberts, who went 5 for 8 en route to 15 points and four steals. Roberts has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Lena Casperson, who went 8 of 11 on her way to 16 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Corner Canyon still got an impressive performance from Aubrey Mulitalo, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Kate LeRoy, who posted five points.
Bingham pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game.
