The biggest upset of the week belonged to Monterey, who took down 198th ranked Monterey, 44-34.
Trevor Lloyd and Bryndan Arredondo provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Lake View. The connection was good for 74 yards, the longest such play in 4A Region I District 4 this season.
Frenship's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Lloyd threw for 136 and two touchdowns and Arredondo had 91 yards receiving. On the ground D'Maujeric Tucker chipped in 120 yards. Cade Davis helped Frenship's passing attack out by catching one ball for 20 yards.
The Tigers' Lloyd and Arredondo have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Lloyd has thrown for 136 yards this season, while Arredondo has two catches for 91 yards. Plainview's Daniel Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 164.
Hereford moved up to 543 from 665 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Whitefaces climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Plainsmen 44-34.
