The Humphreys County Cowboys lost against the Greenville Hornets last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Humphreys County fell 47-37 to Greenville. Humphreys County has not had much luck with Greenville recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Greenville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Isaiah Thomas led the charge by scoring ten points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Thomas. Another player making a difference was Tamarion Rhodes, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Humphreys County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Greenville, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Humphreys County will be home for the holidays to greet Gentry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greenville, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
