Basketball Recap: Tradition Prep Extends Winning Streak to Three

Tradition Prep had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Cincinnati Country Day Nighthawks 63-44.

Ethan Chevres had a dynamite game for Tradition Prep, going 6 of 8 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Harris, who posted ten points and six rebounds.

Tradition Prep has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points per game. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Tradition Prep and Benjamin will face off at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Tradition Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Benjamin likes a good challenge. As for Cincinnati Country Day, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Bernard-Elmwood Place at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
