AAAAAA Region 3 recap November 19, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in AAAAAA Region 3 this week, Hughes beat Valdosta 34-20. The win marks 10th in a row for the the Panthers.
Hughes led the league in scoring this week by notching 34 points on the Wildcats. Keion Davis ran for 202 yards in the win.
Willie Cannon's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kinan Humphrey threw for 103 and 1 touchdown and Kenny Moxey had 70 yards receiving. On the ground Davis chipped in 202 yards. Bingo Morton helped Hughes' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
Davis was a passing and rushing force as the Panthers topped Valdosta. Davis' favorite target this week was Moxey, who caught 4 passes for 70 yards.
Moxey was the best receiver in the league this week as Hughes defeated Rance Gillespie's team. Morton helped Hughes' passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 20 yards.
Hughes' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Humphrey has thrown for 1,391 yards and 14 touchdowns this season, while Moxey has 31 catches for 470 yards.
The longest pass in the league this week was acheived by the Panthers' Humphrey. Hughes bested the Wildcats when he connected with Moxey on a 55-yard pass.
