Baseball Recap: Spanish River Takes a Loss

Spanish River was the 3-2 winner over Wellington when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Spanish River Sharks fell 10-5 to the Wellington Wolverines on Wednesday. The Sharks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Shane Price was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Roman Zabala was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Spanish River's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Wellington, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-3.

Spanish River didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 5-3 win against Park Vista on the 13th. As for Wellington, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-4 loss against Grace Christian Academy on the 13th.
