Sidwell Friends and Bishop O'Connell (ranked 13th and 62nd in the MaxPreps national rankings respectively) squared off in a high-profile match on Saturday. The Sidwell Friends Quakers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Bishop O'Connell Knights. The Quakers' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bishop O'Connell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shane Lincoln, who posted nine points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Caulker, who earned ten points and three steals.

Sidwell Friends' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bishop O'Connell, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
