The Timpanogos Timberwolves will take on the Hurricane Tigers at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Timpanogos' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They blew past Provo 16-0. Considering the Timberwolves have won nine matches by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Shaylie Lang made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Kaydance Pope was a standout: she scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Tia Wilkins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Timpanogos was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last contest, Hurricane made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lincoln County on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Lynx with a sharp 10-0 win. With that victory, the Tigers brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.
Hurricane got a big performance out of Faith Fuller, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Anna Lee was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one triple.
Timpanogos' win bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Hurricane, their victory bumped their record up to 6-13.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Timpanogos hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Hurricane struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
