The Lyndon Tigers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Heritage Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. Given Lyndon's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Heritage Christian Academy is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Heritage Christian Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Biruk Dietz, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Spencer Cook, who scored ten points.
Lyndon pushed their record up to 11-0 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lyndon will take on Council Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Council Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bishop Seabury Academy at 7:30 p.m. Averaging 68 so far this season, Bishop Seabury Academy's high-powered offense has been in full-swing lately, so Heritage Christian Academy better be ready for a challenge.
