The Challis Vikings posted their biggest win since December 15, 2023 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Leadore with a sharp 64-44 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Challis.
Challis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ramey Rhoades out in front who scored 16 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Brayden Ollar, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Leadore lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Dane Piippo, who scored 16 points along with two steals. Mason Herbst was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Challis has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for Leadore, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Challis' road trip will continue as they head out to face Grace at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Grace is ranked 92nd, while Challis is ranked 107th). As for Leadore, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
