The Faith Christian Academy Conquerors will head out on the road to face off against New Bern Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Faith Christian Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Jacksonville Christian Academy on Monday. Faith Christian Academy was the clear victor by a 19-9 margin over Jacksonville Christian Academy. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Faith Christian Academy considering their two-run performance the game before.

Andrew Pittman and Jessie Carrillo made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Pittman tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Carrillo struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pittman has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Pittman went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, five RBI, and three runs, while Carrillo got on base in four of his six plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Faith Christian Academy is undefeated when Carrillo posts two or more runs, but 1-2 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maxton Herring, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of David Langley, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
Meanwhile, New Bern Christian Academy got themselves on the board against Gramercy Christian on Thursday, but Gramercy Christian never followed suit. They blew past the Warriors 19-0. New Bern Christian Academy hasn't had any issues with Gramercy Christian recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Like Faith Christian Academy, New Bern Christian Academy also got a great game from a two-way player: Preston Ryan. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ryan was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.
In other batting news, Tyler Willis was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season. Carter Mann was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and five RBI.
New Bern Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .733. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Faith Christian Academy's record now sits at 10-2. As for New Bern Christian Academy, their record is now 5-2.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Faith Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like New Bern Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .622. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
