After flying high against the Tonopah Muckers on Thursday, the Wells Leopards came back down to earth. Wells lost to Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at home by a decisive 35-20 margin on Friday. Wells lost against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent in their previous head to head back in December of 2017, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 46-41 score last time.
Callie Brodsho was Wells' leading scorer, having posted five points.
Hannah Prescott held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Prescott took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.
Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-28.
Wells will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pahranagat Valley at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Pahranagat Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday. Non Varsity Tournament Opponent will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Rochester School for the Deaf at 12:00 p.m. on December 1st.
