2A District 6 recap November 5, 2013
Episcopal added to the longest winning streak in 2A District 6 this week by beating Redemptorist, 43-24. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Knights.
Northeast lost to East Feliciana 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Redemptorist's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Russell Gage has thrown for 690 yards and 3 touchdowns this season, while Jawaun Sanders has 16 catches for 307 yards. Gage also leads the league in rushing with 883 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Episcopal takes on Capitol. Travis Bourgeois' team is currently in first, while the Lions are in third.
Capitol made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,674 from 8,507. The advance stemmed from a 30-19 victory over Dunham last week.
