On Friday, Wingate couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 8-40 walloping at Window Rock hands. The loss was a vexing one since Wingate was expected to win based on their state ranking. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Wingate off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Window Rock a 1-0 record.
On Thursday, Wingate take on Santa Fe Indian at 7:00 PM. As for Window Rock, they will face of against Rock Point.
