Football Recap: Neville Picks Up Seventh Straight Win at Home

With a playoff win on the line, Neville rose to the challenge on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 31-7 margin over the Chalmette Owls. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Jaylon Nichols continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 183 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 105.3 rushing yards per game. Trendan Dumas also helped out with an impressive 127 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Neville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 213 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

Neville's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 36.7 points per game. As for Chalmette, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-4.

Neville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-13 loss against Central on the 6th. Chalmette does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
