If Oscoda wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Alcona, they should've done a better job of containing Garrett Somers. The Alcona Tigers walked away with a 41-34 victory over the Oscoda Owls on Friday thanks in part to Somers, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 11 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games he's played.

Another player making a difference was Gavin Dellar, who posted eight points. What's more, he also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024.

The win (which was Alcona's fourth in a row) raised their record to 20-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Oscoda, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Alcona will be taking part in a tournament against Beal City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Beal City will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Alcona surely won't give up without a fight. Oscoda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
