Basketball Recap: Eli Pace and Holton Keith Secure Win for Webb City

Webb City won the last time they faced Pittsburg and things went their way on Friday too. The Webb City Cardinals blew past the Pittsburg Dragons 74-52. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 22 points or more this season.

Webb City was led to victory by Holton Keith and Eli Pace. Keith went 12 of 18 on his way to 25 points in addition to seven assists and three steals, while Pace went 8 for 14 on his way to 23 points along with eight boards and six assists. Keith's evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Travien Turner, who posted nine points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Webb City was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The win (which was Webb City's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Pittsburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Webb City will challenge Nixa at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Webb City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Pittsburg, they will take on Carl Junction at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
