The Robinson Knights and the Tampa Catholic Crusaders squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Robinson Knights had to settle for second. Robinson took a serious blow against Tampa Catholic, falling 35-7. Robinson's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Tampa Catholic got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Josh Andrews out in front who rushed for 141 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Lj Elwin, who gained 115 total yards and two touchdowns.
Robinson's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Tampa Catholic, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-5.
Robinson does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Tampa Catholic will head out on the road to face off against Berkeley Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Berkeley Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
