The Southern Durham Spartans had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 49 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They blew past Carrboro, posting a 53-0 victory at home. The result was nothing new for Southern Durham, who have now won five matchups by 40 points or more so far this season.
Jordan McClure was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayston Moore, who rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries.
Southern Durham's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-4. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47 points. As for Carrboro, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Southern Durham will head out on the road to face off against Eastern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Carrboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
