Meanwhile, while Unioto put up some runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Piketon. The Shermans put the hurt on the Redstreaks with a sharp 10-0 win. The Shermans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.
KB Perkins was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted over his last nine games.
In other batting news, Keegan Snyder was incredible, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Jaxon Zickafoose was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Unioto pushed their record up to 10-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Paint Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-9-1.
