Boston Latin Academy came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against East Longmeadow, but Cole Berthiaume wouldn't allow it. The Spartans walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Dragons on Wednesday for which the team can thank Berthiaume, who hit 71.4% for five kills and 49 assists and 12 digs. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 24 or more in each of the last 12 games he's played.

The win didn't come easy: Boston Latin Academy scored at least 20 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 28-26, 23-25, 25-22.

Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Khang Le, who had 32 assists and three digs. With that strong performance, Le is now averaging an impressive 12.2 assists per game. Jarvis Huynh was another key player, getting 24 assists and four digs.

The victory made it two in a row for East Longmeadow and bumps their season record up to 18-4. As for Boston Latin Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-11.

Coming up, East Longmeadow will venture away from home to face off against Agawam at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Boston Latin Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
