The Pershing County Mustangs have the luxury  of staying home for another  week and will welcome the Yerington Lions at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both  are strolling into their  games after big wins in their previous games.
 Pershing County is headed in fresh off scoring the most  points they have all season. They breezed by Silver Stage at home  to the tune of  58-0 on Thursday. Fans of the Mustangs have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+  points.
 Pershing County's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Travis Donaldson, who rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 71 yards and two touchdowns. Another rusher making a difference was  Izayuh Mcglothin, who rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown.
 Pershing County's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. It was truly a group effort as  Trenton Rhodes,  Mcglothin,  and  Mcglothin picked up one apiece.
 Meanwhile,  everything came up roses for Yerington at home  against Coral Academy of Science - Reno on Friday as the  team secured  a  42-14 victory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Lions.
 Pershing County's win was  their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Yerington, they now  have a winning record of 2-1.
