The Ossining Pride were the  64-63 winner over the New Rochelle Huguenots when they last played one another  back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Ossining fell to New Rochelle  45-40. While losing is never fun, Ossining can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings  (they are ranked 307th, while New Rochelle is ranked 39th).
 Ossining lost  on Friday despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Sebastian DeCosta, who  scored 16 points along with two  steals. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kris Singh, who  scored ten points along with three  steals and two  blocks.
 Ossining  struggled to get the ball back on offense and  finished the game with only three  offensive rebounds. That's the fewest  offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
 Ossining are  on a three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-6. As for New Rochelle, their win bumped their record up to 11-2.
 Ossining will be staying on the road  on Tuesday to face off against John Jay at 5:00  p.m.  on January 30th. As for New Rochelle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carmel at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
