Compass Charter's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mason Bennett, who scored 18 points, and Kellen Walbuck who scored 12 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Bennett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Skimmyhorn, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, New Plymouth was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 52-48 to Cole Valley Christian. It was the first time this season that New Plymouth let down their fans at home.
Compass Charter has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. As for New Plymouth, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-4.
