Last Saturday, Colorado Springs School strolled past Dolores Huerta Prep with points to spare, taking the game 58-41. The victory was just what Colorado Springs School needed coming off of a 67-37 loss in their prior contest.
Meanwhile, Miami-Yoder entered their tilt with Calhan with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Miami-Yoder secured a 57-53 W over Calhan on Tuesday.
It was another big night for James Orozco, who scored 36 points along with eight steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Gavin Howard was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Colorado Springs School's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Miami-Yoder, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Everything came up roses for Colorado Springs School against Miami-Yoder in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 60-22 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colorado Springs School since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
