The Andover Golden Warriors will take on the Methuen Rangers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Andover is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last four games.
Andover came out on top against Chelmsford on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Golden Warriors' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 9-0 shutout. The contest marked the Golden Warriors' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Drew Pulsifer and Chris Jaillet were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Pulsifer pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jaillet didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Pulsifer went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run, while Jaillet went 2-for-5 with two runs and one stolen base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Will Norris, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Alex Berman, who got on base in two of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Methuen, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over Dracut on Wednesday. The Rangers haven't had any issues with the Middies recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Andover's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Methuen, the win got them back to even at 5-5.
Andover took their victory against Methuen in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Warriors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
